Autumn in Full Colour

Autumn taken as far as colour will go: crowns in crimson, magenta, orange and green above trunks painted frank blue, and a carpet of fallen leaves across the whole foreground. The leaves are separate touches of the brush, hundreds of them, so the canvas reads as texture before it reads as trees. Bright throughout, with the darkest notes kept in the branches.
