Autumn Promenade by the Lake

A path runs along the water under a row of old plane trees, their trunks painted in orange, rust and violet. Street lamps are already lit, and the lake beside the path holds the pale gold of the evening sky. Fallen leaves cover the ground in patches of red, pink and blue.
