Golden Reflections

A long abstract panorama of vertical blocks in gold, orange, cobalt and white, mirrored below as if in water. The paint is scraped, dragged and layered, so the canvas weave shows through in places and the colours sit on top of one another. A wide, low format that suits a sofa wall or a long sideboard.

The colours are scraped and dragged over each other, so in places the weave of the canvas shows through and the gold catches the light differently from the blue. Up close it is pure surface; from a distance the vertical blocks read as a city or a harbour reflected in water.

The long 70 × 30 cm format is made for horizontal spaces: above a sofa, a long sideboard, a headboard or a desk. It sits well with grey, cream and navy interiors and with brass or gold details.
