Sailboat in a Burning Sky
A sailboat crossing the last of the light, the sky broken into bands of violet, orange and deep blue and the whole of it repeated in the water below. The hull sits almost black against the burning path of the sun. Painted entirely with the knife in short separate slabs of colour, laid on so thickly that the surface catches real light and the sea reads as movement rather than as water.
